Second item from ebay! ELF Blending Brush for $3.50 with free postage. See, I only get stuff on a bargain!
Except for the upcoming two more packages....Which is probably the reason why I'm pretty much erm poor now -.-
But I'm not regretting my two purchases, both of which I need. But also both of which I splurged on coz I could have gotten one that came with a lighter price tag.
When the time comes, you'll see why.

MAC's In the Groove Collection left me wanting so bad and I did some damage to the pocket.
This was a collective haul, I got these on 2 occasions.
Ok so, first story: On Friday morning when the collection launched in Singapore, I had to be in school by 11am for PAL Programme which is a CCA-thing for lower primary. And knowing how hyped and sought-after Stereo Rose was, I didn't want to end up disappointed again like the To The Beach collection where I missed out on the Highlight Powder and the Hipness Blush.
So umm.... I woke up early and went to Tangs Orchard before school. Yes, I admit I was one of those who waited for the store to open so I could rush in like a mad woman and grab that *preciousssss*. But I swear, there were 5 other women waiting around with me and once the doors opened, they started swatching and bought 3 Stereo Roses at one go!
I ended up with a Stereo Rose MSF, Band of Roses Mineralize Blush and a huge smile on my face at school.

So now you're wondering, I got 2 odd things and the rest just fell out of the sky and landed on my lap? Prrftt. I held out until the pay came in on Saturday and dragged D to JB Aeon Tebrau to haul some more! Why JB? Coz I wanted to get an empty palette to depot some shadows. Oh and coz we wanted to eat Sushi King!!
Ok I digress, pictures.
Jazzed: This is my first cremesheen lipstick and I'm beginning to think it's my favourite finish! Lustres are a little opaque on my extremely pigmented lips and Satins tend to dry out. This one left a waxy feeling on my lips and it just made it real smooth and moisturizing. Havn't tried Frosts nor Amplified though.
Two lovely ladies trying to catch my attention. I love you both, no worries!
Stereo Rose -> Coral and not shimmery which is awesome coz I hate shimmer in my blush.
Petticoat -> Frosted pink with raspberry veins, I think I got a good amount of veins in mine so it showed up on my skintone thank god. Not much gold thrown in though, but I like it that way = less shimmer.
Band of Roses since it's been described as a dupe for Dollymix. I've always wanted Dollymix but never got around to purchasing it.
And last which is not from the collection but I just picked up anyways was a Satin eyeshadow in Club. A brownish bronze with green reflects.
Ok story number 2: At Aeon Tebrau, D and I went to the MAC store, me with minimal makeup coz we've been out since early morning to do some errands and it was almost 8pm when we reached JB (MAJOR TRAFFIC JAM AT CAUSEWAY!)
So I got served by a very nice Chinese lady and she helped with my purchase. I wanted to get 'On the Scene' lipgloss as well as a mineralize eyeshadow trio but that lipgloss was OOS and the eyeshadows were not brought in at JB's MAC.
Ok so nevermind, two less items mean less money spent! :) I asked for the eyeshadow palette and it was also OOS. D said, nevermind just pick out something else since we're already here and I changed a specific sum of dollars into ringgit to get my MAC fix.
And so I went to the eyeshadow stand and started swatching neutrals coz you never can have enough neutrals right?
And this malay guy with funky hair in a ponytail came over and asked which colour I'm looking for in kind of a bossy tone, like he wants to rid of me from the store. When only D and I were the only ones there. I asked for Wood-winked.
And he went, "Oh we don't have that colour here, it's limited edition kot?" And I was kind of shocked when he said that, since when was Wood-winked LE?
So I went, "Umm...no, I don't think it's limited edition..."
And he pressed on, "It must be limited edition. Or else I would have found the colour for you already from the stand."
Fact is. He wasn't even near the stand when he threw that comment to me. He was at the cashier table.
And D said my face just changed totally. It's one thing to not know your products, but it's totally another to insult a customer and insinuating that I don't know crap about makeup.
And that said, they didn't have Patina either. If I asked, he'll probably say it's also LE!
I was so pissed, I just ignored him and continued searching. And the previous lady whom served me came over and thank god for her, really. She made the effort to recommend me Club instead which she claimed was her favourite brown shadow. And so I got it....it took me another hour after leaving the MAC store and bitching to D before I calmed myself down enough to enjoy my dinner at Sushi King.
Ok, rant over. Sorry for the lengthy post and I apologise if I sound spoilt or something..
Anyway, a shout-out to Vonvon from Vonvon's Interests! Thank you for your advise when I left a tag on your message board! And I hope ur MAC store brings in the mineralize eyeshadow trios soon coz I know ur holding out for those! :)

Today I went around town with Sheela and I got a few stuff coz I sorta needed them or I had to get them for a valid reason.
Like a Korres Lip Butter in Mango. Jasmine was OOS. Coz they were on sale from originally $25 to $12.90 and this was one of the products I've been meaning to try. Coz being a youtube fangirl means you're easily influenced by guru reviews right? I know I'm not alone *points finger at YOU* :)
So I got one, and I held dear to it occasionally sniffing it in the MRT, caressing the waxy box it came in....like it's some goddamn puppy.
HELLO, even on sale it's still a little on the high side!
And when I got home, i took a picture of it. And got stuff out of their boxes to make some space on my bedroom floor.
And I threw a paper bag away filled with random plastic bags and empty boxes.
Nyeh.
And then after having my dinner, I started looking for my beloved puppy lip butter. And I couldnt find it!
Story short, I went down to the rubbish chute. YES THE COMMON RUBBISH CHUTE THAT MY WHOLE BLOCK SHARES. And I meant to seek help from the bangla who does our rubbish everyday....but a kind angel came and helped me to open the chute and pulled the bin out instead. He said his name is Pak Ali.
I'll pray for him, a good deed begets another.
And if you're wondering, it was still in the plastic bag and then still in it's cozy little box. So it's as good as new, but I washed the outside of the jar with dettol just to be sure.
And yes, the rubbish chute stunk like hell.

How can a lazy day be busy? I dunno, don't ask me.
Me and Sheela decided to go fishing with Ayah. Ayah left home at 6.15am, we left at 6.40am....And we came across a jam in the road. A huge tree fell onto the road, blocking vehicles from both sides. But my dad went past, so I would think it happened at aroung 6.30am. 
Mummy had surgery today so brunch was by me. I fricking printed out recipes from the internet and it paid off. Fried macaroni and sweet and sour hotdogs. Im so proud of myself *million pats on the back*.Thursday, June 3, 2010
And I died when my Travel Brush Kit got stolen.
So I placed a second order to Sigma, this time for the full-sized original set. So that I can keep them at home without any chance of losing them again and suffer from extreme depression.
After 2 weeks of anxiety, they came! In a mangled envelope with messy tape at one side no less.
I should be thankful it didn't end up as lost mail, I take my rude words back.

The three brushes at the side came in a red mesh bag that I forgot to include. Bleh.
So the ones in the black mesh bag are my 12-pc full-sized original set. The two similar ones with the handles are the Flat-Top Buffer Brush; one for me and one ordered by my colleague. Teeny one with the stubby stump is the Kabuki.

and free with the set....the travel-sized SS217 which I adoreeeeee.
I think Sigma acted on feedback about how some girls boycotted them. Refrained from buying their brushes because of the similarity to the MAC ones?I was surprised when I received the brushes, bcoz Sigma changed the brushes' numbering. Like previously the large powder brush was named the SS150? It's now called the F40. Same for the rest of the brushes, the face ones will have the letter 'F' at the front, while the eye brushed will have the letter 'E' before the numbers. A very good clever move I thought.
I wasn't bothered by the names or whatnot. As long as the brushes remain soft and of good quality as I remembered them to be, I'm still a happy camper :)

Sweet Heavens....that's ALOT. But it's only coz I've been spending on makeup and food most of the time and it's been awhile since I spent on clothes. And it's so that I have stuff to wear to work.....I'm trying to justify my purchase here alright!
And coz I'm weak against makeup sales....

MAC's eyeshadow in Prepped For Glamour is from the new collection: Pret-A-Papier. I wanted to get Satin Taupe but Robinson's Raffles City's was OOS. BA swatched for me this and it's quite similar so I got this instead..
So those are the things I got today.....So far I've tested the lipliners only. I LOVE THEM. Especially Chocolate Charm!! That's gonna be a repeat-buy for me when I run out!
Sultry Sienna is GORGEOUS. I wanna step out of my comfort zone (read: nude lippies) and try bold lips. This is my first step: A red lipliner with slight orange undertones that goes well with my skintone. I can't pull off blood red lips so this is perfect. Layer on my sheer SilkyGirl's Sugar Plum lippie and the results are awesomeeee.

Tell you the truth, I'm feeling a bit mellowed after spending on all the stuff... It's not coz I'm broke after hauling so much. I did my budget and I stuck to it so no issues on money.
I think D understands how I feel...It's not ideal to go into detail on the blog. I just wish things were different so that I won't feel that guilty twinge after the euphoria of spending on my so-loved makeup.

On how hard is it to get NARS! Specifically the Gina and Gilda Blush. Nope, no Orgasm for me. Or even the SUPER Orgasm. Don't fool me with the added 'super' ok.
I went to Sephora US and they didn't carry those colours. I went Ebay International and no one was selling. I went beauty.com and LO AND BEHOLD.
That's why I LOVE DRUGSTORE.COM and BEAUTY.COM
But I havn't clicked on the check-out button. Severely tempted but how when your pockets are housing fireflies only? Waiting for the 12th....have to do my budget plan first, set aside some money and then we can talk. Hehe.
And just cause D is going through a rough patch right now, this is for you bf!

Woohooo!! Ok done.
Saturday, D fetched me after his morning run and we went to swap my Taka vouchers with Tangs vouchers at AMK. Gumtree.sg is awesome, so many responses in such short time. Stopped at AMK Central and D got 2 really nice shirts for $50 at Spade. Went shopping for some baby stuff, will explain that later.
Went to his house and waited for him to bathe. Something REAL embarrassing happened while I was at his house but I shan't say it. GOD, how cherry tomato-faced I must've been. Must be cherry tomato coz even though it's red, it's still cute mah? HAHA.

Reached home quite early too, at 915pm! Who's a good girl? :DSunday! We went out after D finished work and original plan was to catch a movie at Bukit Batok Eng Wah. But his friend said that BB Eng Wah has cockroaches! And D freaked out and didn't wanna step foot in the cinema. Hehe, I exaggerate.
Anyway, we ended up at Causeway Point and got some dinner into our system.
Anyone noticed I like taking food pictures? HAHA.
And then we went to watch How To Train Your Dragon...didn't have it in 3D :( It would've been awesome! The graphics were already 'in your face', imagine if you watch it in 3D!
I LOVED THE MOVIE. I even liked it better than Clash of The Titans! On par with Alice in Wonderland. Again, anyone noticed I loveee animation movies?
I'm visualizing D rolling his eyes right now.

1. Jasmine Body Spray from Body Shop.
Coz during that Johor incident, I brought mine there and the whole bag got stolen. So I got a new one...I love the smell and D does too.
2. Random keychain.
These were going for RM1 each! I got some for my sisters and mom too. Lots of designs to choose from. From the shop at the overhead bridge that links Berjaya to Sungei Wang side.
3. Felt Rose Ring Box
D surprised me with rings! And got them in this pretty rose stalk/box! We were looking for couple rings and we came across cute ring boxes at Couple Lab Illuma and I said I wanted one! And he surprised one for me! And it didn't come empty, it came with rings!
The heart shape is a hole in the ring in between our names and our anniversary date was engraved on the inner side. Sweeettttttt.
Snakeskin anyone? Fake wan laaa! I love my new wallet, it looks expensive when it really isn't! And material isn't flimsy, it's quite sturdy and I forsee myself using the wallet for times to come.
6. From Petaling also, I got a fake Loewe bucket bag. 7. Platform heels
8. Rimmel's Lipstick in DreamyCan't remember how much this was, RM26.90 I think? Got it at KLCC Watsons on the way back from Aquaria when we spotted Tao Kae Noi Tom Yum seaweed and had to get a pack.
Thought of getting Airy Fairy again since it got stolen too, but I wanted to give another colour a try. Colour is a frosted pinky mauve. It looks ok on me but I can't help thinking I look old, just coz my mother favours frosty lipsticks and it's a mental thing ya' know?

Tomorrow will be departure date FINALLY, and I hope I have a really good time there....though where we're going isn't far. Time to de-stress and shop my heart out, so we'll come back fully rejuvenated and I'll be ready to take on the rest of the semester.
Today I went shopping with my little sister. And it's one of the most rewarding shopping trips EVERRR. Coz I bought stuff that I can't try on at the shop, and hope it fits? And when I came home and tried them on, they looked gorgeoussssss.
Got 2 off-the-shoulder tops, one in grey and one in black..
Shorts in a silky brown colour.
A black spag top that I was sure wouldn't fit me but thankfully it did :)

Wanted to get Too-Faced Shadow Insurance actually, but it was OOS.
A couple of pretty earrings, 3 for $5...
And I got the Essence of Beauty Duo Brush Set from Magical Tannsu at $20...Met her at Dhoby Ghaut. Coz I realise I can't travel without my makeup tools :(
OH OH, and I got 2 zipped pouches, one for me and one for the bf coz we wanna put our money in there when we travel..And I got the prettiest silver elastic headband.

Ok, so yesterday what happened? Bf and I went to these places to get equipped for the upcoming trip. Stuff are all courtesy of the bf. Btw, anyone guessed where we're going yet?
- Mustafa Centre
Got Optrex ($4.90) coz my eyes seem to get itchy quite frequently nowadays. And its not a gradual thing, its a sudden itch thing. Dunno why...Palmolive Thermal Spa Massage Shower Gel ($2.95 i think?) I got rashes from my Lux Shower Cream and so I switched to using just soap. But I want something that exfoliates...so let's try this shall we? Bf has been using this and he says it's good. Hopefully I don't break out in rashes again. And it's blueee! Da be dee da be daaaa ok stop.
Now that we use the same facial cleanser, next stop is same shower gel. What next? Tsktsk.
Tiny samples on the right are from De Enchant, a Korean all-natural skincare and cosmetics line at Iluma Bugis. Bf bought their 3-step skincare regime that amounted to about $110 and the kind lady gave him a sachet of toner for oily skin, while she gave me sample bottles of a toner, a moisturizer and a night cream for dry skin. She just looked at our faces and knew what kind of skin we have. She's good.
She was really patient and thorough. Tried almost every display product on our hands for our opinions. She wasn't pushy, and the skincare line smells awesome! Absolutely no chemicals in their ingredients, and we saw results there and then when she scrubbed dirt from bf's hands.
- Bugis Junction
Bf was looking for a travel-sized bath gel, and we scoured Watson's and Guardian but to no avail. Even Mustafa didn't have it, oh the irony. We got the one made of Japanese Blossoms (Sakura). He's taking the shower gel and I'm taking the body lotion plus the bath lily. Awesome smell, so girly and vacation-y. Oh, it's $14.90.
SASAAAAA! My next favourite place to go after Sephora.Anyhoo...since you know my Sigma brushes got stolen, how am I to travel without my tools! And I'm almost always broke right, so I couldn't order a new one in time for the trip..so I made do with what I have and then some.
Tiny jars ($1.65) came in a pack of two, will use one to put the Oceana pigment sample I got from a colleague who ordered from Alimapure. Spray bottle ($1.05) for my brush cleanser. Cosmetic wedges ($1.90) for liquid foundation - first time I'm using a sponge, the one thing I really miss from my stolen kit is my foundation brush :'(
Eyebrow razors ($2.95) coz I'm only left with one unblunt wan HAHA.

My eyebrows are wicked neat now woohoo!

Bf got his 50L travel backpack at the Army Market for $65..and we ate yummy chicken rice heheheh.
Before going home he brought me to eat Shin Tokyo at Yew Tee again. It's fast becoming our hangout though the sushi belt is literally empty always.

This is like the size of a Macdonald's Happy Meal HAHA. Has 2 compartments; top zipper holds 5 brushes in slots and comes with a mirror tag. Has some space of about 5cm height for extra stuff. Lower zipper is spacious and ideal for my small makeup collection :)
2. Color Studio Aurora eyeshadow in Toasted Brown RM8
Has green and gold shimmer and this is the darkest brown they have. Elianto's eyeshadows are quite pigmented if you havnt already known...Too bad they don't have a store in S'pore :(
3. Matte Blush Pot in Pecan RM25
Bf chose this colour for me out of the many swatches I made...so naturally I got it. Colour reminds me of NYX's Raisin blush, I dunno why. It's like 81% beige, 18% mauve, 1% red.

To clean my brushes. DUH, I don't have a kid HAHA.
5. Oral-B Kids' Toothbrush RM6.50
Got a separate toothbrush to scrub dead skin from my lips to make them more kissable HAHA. Only discovered this method, so sorry if I'm a little behind. Again, obviously I don't have a kid -.-
6. Nivea Lip Care in Strawberry RM7.90
Smells yummy! Like strawberry bubblegum! Sadly leaves a sheer red sheen on your lips so I gave this to my little sister..Red lips and me don't mix.
7. Revlon Matte Eyeliner in Pure White RM27.90
On days I need to brighten up my eyes rather than to look fierce in black! edit18Jan: I wore this to work today from 1030am - 8pm and there were still some left on my waterline! Woohoo!
8. Rimmel Lip Liner in Eastend Snob RM15.90
My lip colour. For days lipstick should NEVER slide off.
9. Rimmel Lipstick in Airy Fairy RM19.90
NOT AVAILABLE IN SINGAPORE! Of course had to get one to try out. I've heard alot about this liptick, finally own it! Smells like scented erasers!

Airy Fairy is a pinkish nude that is darker than MAC's Angel but lighter than my NYX's Thalia. Honeylove is not exactly a beige nude, as it shows up a little pink. NYX's Circe is still my true beige...Blankety was sold out, alot of nudes were sold out actually :(
Colours are SOOOO not true to the pictures. I should invest in a proper camera. I need to look for sponsors HAHA.

It got even more sweeter when my long awaited package from drugstore.com finally came. At 9pm no less! I was confused when my sister burst into my room and told me there's a postman outside our gate when it's so dark outside? But mann! I'm so glad it came!
Coz I only ordered 10 items through vconcierge, there's a whole lot of extra space in the box. Instead of bubble-wrapping everything or scattering those foam thingies, they put in a bio-degradable inflatable air bag! It's the first I've seen, it was quite interesting HAHA. And everything came in good condition. Me a happy girl :)
1. Physician's Formula (*I'm gonna shorten this to PF) Gentle Cover Stick Concealer in Yellow
My ELF Cover Stick fails miserably to cover my under-eye circles so i switched to using it as an "eye primer". This one however is a winner! This works soooo good that I'm afraid of using it up and I'll have to order again. And there won't be a sale anymore so I'll have to pay double the price! Mann. So I dot my Loreal True Match under my eyes and pat it in, then use a little of this where the puffiness of my eyes end so that it blends with my skin. Confused much?
2.PF / Organic Wear Eyeliner in Black Night
I much prefer this over my Maybelline Unstoppable "Smudge-proof" eyeliner. That one leaves streaks under my eyes after a few hours and I keep having to re-apply. Panda eyes anyone? I like the fact that Organic Wear's has a pretty leafy design on the pencil and it's very creamy that it glides on easily. Color is a true black, thank god. Some black eyeliners comes off as grey or even a little blue. This does smudge a little but staying power is quite good.
3.PF Powder Palette Multi-Colored Face Powder in Translucent
Used this once as a setting powder. Truthfully, I didn't see a difference in my appearance when wearing this over my foundation. But the mosaic pattern looks pretty in my makeup drawer :)
4. PF / Organic Wear Pressed Powder in Warm Beige
I have not worn this coz I'm trying to finish up my SilkyGirl one first. But honestly, how many powders are shaped to look like a pretty leafy imprint? Not many LOL.
5. CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara in Very Black
Finally I understand what the hype is about. Lengthens and especially volumizes lashes like no one's business. Really fat wand but I feel that I have more control when doing my lashes with this. My NYX Doll-eye has taken a backseat, this is my current favourite mascara :)
6. CoverGirl Trushine Lip Color in Nude Shine
Sheer wash of color so I usually swipe this back and forth more than twice. Tube is a little taller than my other lippies but the design is gorgeouss. It's a silver reflective tube, so it creates a 3D rainbow-lines impression. So pretty. This is my go-to nude lipstick for work. In the tube it looks like a cream pink, but on your lips it's more beige.
7. Queen Helene Oatmeal 'n' Honey Natural Facial Scrub
Doesn't it sound delicious? I was anticipating a delicious waft from the tube that would have me battling whether to have a taste-test of the scrub. When I first smelled it though, I thought of insect spray. I am not kidding, and I think there are people who would agree with me. But don't be turned off just yet, coz in the shower it smells somewhat pleasant..Almost soothing.
It's supposed to be a daily cleanser, but I'm using this as an exfoliator since it has tiny black beads (oatmeal?) that serves the purpose. So every 3 days or after I wore heavy makeup that day and after removing everything with makeup wipes, I would reach for this.
8. Wet 'n' Wild Ultimate Sheer Tinted Moisturizer in Sun-Kissed
Sheer is the word. This doesn't cover my redness or blemishes that would've otherwise been covered by my normal foundation. Has SPF 15 and has a light consistency that reminds me of my Clean N Clear Moisturizer. It's not thick, at the same time doesn't run all over the place. For work - yes. For dates and outings with friends? A definite no-no.
9. Maybelline Line Stiletto Ultimate Precision Liquid Eyeliner in Blackest Black
Comparable to Loreal's Lineur Intense as they both have the exact same felt tip that makes drawing on the upperlids so easy! I wore this yesterday and it didn't flake or smudge on me like my gel liner did. And I was out for more than 7 hours! This was a surprise loveeeee. Color didnt fade and stayed true to first application. OMG. I love this.
10. Maybelline Superstay 24Hr Liquid Foundation in True Beige
I know alot of people swear by Revlon Colorstay and I thought it does cover really well! But I found that this does too, without the thick consistency that Revlon has. Everytime I pour out foundation onto my hand, I find Revlon dries up fast so it makes application very rushed for me. Maybelline's Superstay feels lighter and doesnt dry as fast when I pour it out. It doesn't have the plasticky smell Revlon has either. And the one thing why I love this is coz it matches my skintone perfectly as I don't have a matching shade from Revlon.
Why oh whyyy won't they bring this into Singaporeeee!

Would've ordered so much more, except for the fact that drugstore.com requires a US credit card if I wanted to ship via VpostUSA but I was using my debit card. International shipping was ridiculous! It was like USD120 for 11 items! So I got these through Vconcierge that limits orders to only 10 items. Sighhh. I have to find a new avenue if I wanna order from that website again. Sprees maybe? We'll see...

But who's complaining, Thank You Sigma!
Some people think Sigma are copycats of MAC, and yes I agree with that, what with the same numbering for their brushes. It takes effort and creativity to create wonderful brushes, but it takes art to duplicate them. And they are cheaper, which is a good thing for those who can't afford MAC brushes. Makeup application is an art, your face is the canvas. Perfection may be achieved with the right set of tools and though sometimes you can't afford high-end brushes, that doesn't mean you have to settle looking your second-best. Sigma captures this need and I applaud them for it.
Anyway....Thursday was the outing with bf.
Wanted to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks 2, but it was sold out! Right til 1:40am could you believe it?? Mann.....so we postponed Alvin til later on in the month, and watched Princess and The Frog instead. Lol I loved the movie, it's right up there with the other Disney Princess movies that brings you back to your childhood. Pair a good movie with some sweet popcorn, fried chicken balls, a corn dog and iced lemon tea with a 'life-sized teddy bear" to cuddle with - it doesn't get any better than that :)
Then we got finger food for lunch and ate at some park at YCK.
